After six and a half years of building and growing YESS with Camilla (and more recently as Joint CEO with Karen) Emma has decided to step down as Joint-CEO to become a Consultant Solicitor focusing on mediation. You can read more about Emma’s decision and her reflections on her time at YESS here.
This means that Karen takes over as CEO, reporting to the Board of Trustees. Karen’s immediate focus is to ensure that YESS continues to adapt to the challenges of supporting our clients remotely, whilst getting our partnership with Maternity Action well under way.
We are joined by Clare Fowler, Senior Solicitor who was appointed at the beginning of November. Clare comes to us from Howells LLP in Sheffield, where she also lives. Clare will of course be working remotely, and will continue to do so once our offices reopen (whenever that may be), although she will regularly join us in the office in London when that becomes possible.
We are also pleased to announce that Saher Osman is promoted to Senior Solicitor. Saher joined us in July 2018 and has already helped hundreds of clients resolve their work problems. In her new role she will lead the development of our Judicial Mediation support service for claimants, which is becoming an increasing part of our dispute resolution work.
Camilla Palmer QC (Hon) is leading an online workplace mediation project (DRAW), funded by Trust for London. This runs until spring 2021 and aims to provide a fast and free service to resolve workplace issues within the Greater London area. You can find out more about this project here.
